Résumé 

La qualité demeure une des préoccupations majeures des universités africaines, en ce qu’elle entame sérieusement, par son absence ou son insuffisance, leur efficacité interne et externe, au point qu’on la qualifie de « talon d’Achille » des systèmes éducatifs africains. 

Cette contribution, en hommage au Professeur Hamidou Nacuzon Sall qui a consacré une bonne partie de ses travaux à cette problématique, tente, dès lors, de cerner la prise en charge de celle-ci par les autorités de l’UCAD, à travers deux initiatives : la promotion de la pédagogie universitaire (PPU) et l’intégration des technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) dans l’enseignement, en vue d’améliorer l’efficacité de leur institution. 

Abstract

Quality remains one of the major concerns of African universities, in that it seriously undermines, by its absence or its insufficiency, their internal and external efficiency, to the point where it is called the "Achille’s heel" of African education systems.

 This contribution, in tribute to Professor Hamidou Nacuzon SALL who has devoted a good part of his work to this issue, therefore attempts to identify the management of this issue by the UCAD authorities, through two initiatives: the promotion of university pedagogy (PPU) and the integration of Information and Communication Technology in Education (TICE), with a view to improving the efficiency of their institution.
